Love this green tea powder. You just mix this with water, hot water, or milk and voila! You have a cup of good green tea drink. Easy and tasty.
Shopped at Ippodo in Tokyo. This tea shop originally started in Kyoto almost 300 years ago.
Ok, I thought I should write about this.
On May 9, 2007, there was a gang-rape incident in Osaka, Japan.
A woman went into a steak restaurant called Pepper Lunch in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, to have a late night meal and was served with a stun gun, sleeping pills, kidnapping and gang-rape. She was kept at a garage until somehow managed to escape next morning. A manager of the restaurant, Daisuke Kitayama, and an employee, Masanobu Miyake, were arrested while they were working at the restaurant like nothing ever happened.
There are so many things to argue about this awful incident.
First, from what I hear, there aren't enough media coverage on this incident. I have always had a great deal of distrust in Japanese media (journalism? whaaaaa?) but seriously, WTF!? Is there anything they have to hide about the incident, the company or those criminals? There wasn't an official news release of this crime until 17th of May. It happened on 9th!
Second, those criminals totally planned this. The garage they used to bring her into and keep her was rented before that day. It's possible they've done similar crimes before.
Third, a parent company that owns Pepper Lunch Shinsaibashi, Pepper Food Service, has the same restaurants all over Japan but they are all operating as usual. Well, I guess you could argue that those other stores do not have to close just because of an evil-doing of one store and the company did post an apology notice on the other stores. But I say this company just doesn't care, especially since it restarted its commercials on the media already.

GOSH, I must admit that it was the most interesting art exhibition I've ever been to (even better than the Magritte one I went to several years ago). I think it was partly due to the fact that we went there early enough so that we don't have to crawl between people in the museum (like we had to when we went to see the exhibitions of Dalí, Millet, Magritte. Yes, their paintings are great but they're SO popular that the museums were too packed to enjoy the art to the fullest).
Of course, the printings of Escher were just AMAZING! I just liked his stuff but now I deeply respect him and absolutely love his art! I'm sure I'd have loved them even though the place was packed but it's so much better when there are less people around. And I'm short so I always have trouble looking at a whole work when there are 30 people gathered at one place to look at one piece of art.
Oh, one of the cool thing about this exhibition was that Nintendo DS Lite were used as audio guides! I've been to a exhibition where iPods were used as audio gudes but Nintendo DS! Neat.

I waited in a line for an hour just to get inside, then once I was inside all I saw were people, people and more people... I was quite surprised that so many people chose to come see the art instead of going new year's shopping (and this exhibition's been going on since Sep.).
Anyway I really enjoyed the exhibition. Love his art. ¡Que unico!
